Emma has over 17-year’s strategic and practical experience, gained within PR and marketing agencies and in-house.
Prior to launching The Smart Agency, Emma was founder and partner of marketing and communications agency, Smart Association, working with clients including Green Flag, Bradford Metropolitan District Council (education catering division), UKI Partnerships, IKEA, Arla Foods, Nuffield Hospital Leeds and the Chartered Institute of Marketing to name a few. Emma is also on the Board of Leeds Media.
Emma launched her own communications agency, Smart PR, in January 2000 and built this to become a successful PR agency working with national brands including Privilege Insurance and Green Flag.
In May 2004, Emma teamed up with another small agency owner to form Smart Association. Prior to this, Emma was head of communications at Privilege Insurance and then set up the PR Division for Leeds-based marketing company, MediaWorks, who later acquired CWG to become An Agency Called England.
Emma’s career started in London where she worked for a number agencies including Camron PR, Munro & Forster PR, The Public Relations Business before moving to Manchester where she worked for leading consumer agency, Mason Williams.
